Infiltration Model of Mediterranean Soil with Clay Texture

چکیده
Infiltration plays an essential role in increasing the soil water content as a part of hydrological cycle. affects surface runoff and conservation. It also determines sustainability groundwater system. Heavy rain intensity exceeding infiltration capacity will result runoff, excessive cause erosion. This study aims to investigate suitable rate model Mediterranean clay textured with various conditions. measurement employed double-ring infiltrometer without tillage. The applied was empirical function time, which includes Kostiakov, Horton, Philip Models. results demonstrated that texture 0.91 cm/min relatively higher be conditions tillage is Kostiakov Model f = 0.700 t-0.25 0.682 t-0.22, respectively. most clay, conditions, determination value 0.988 deviation 0.005. Effect of Soil Texture and the Clay Component on Migration of Meloidogyne incognita Second-stage Juveniles.
The vertical migration of M. incognita juveniles introduced at 20 cm from the roots was studied in five natural soils, 100% silica sand, 95% silica sand with 5% clay, 90% silica sand with 10% clay, and 95% silica sand with 5% clay as a concentrated layer. In natural soils the percentage of juveniles capable of migrating 20 cm and penetrating the roots decreased when the percentage of clay and s...
متن کاملGleams model application on a heavy clay soil in Finland
The GLEAMS model version 2.10 was calibrated and validated with data from research plots on illitic clay soil near the Agricultural Research Centre at Jokioinen, Finland. Observed surface runoff, drainage ̄ow, erosion, and associated nitrogen and phosphorus loads from 0.46 ha plots were used in the model application for a 7-year period with different management practices. Two plots were used fo...
متن کاملDevelopment of an Index-based Regression Model for Soil Moisture Estimation Using MODIS Imageries by Considering Soil Texture Effects
Soil moisture content (SMC) is one of the most significant variables in drought assessment and climate change. Near-real time and accurate monitoring of this quantity by means of remote sensing (RS) is a useful strategy at regional scales. So far, various methods for the SMC estimation using a RS data have been developed. The use of spectral information based on a small range of electromagnetic...
متن کاملSoil water infiltration observation with microwave radiometers
Experiments were conducted using truck-based microwave radiometers operating at 1.41(L-band) and 2.65-GHz (S-band) horizontal polarization to observe small plots during and following sprinkler irrigation. These experiments were conducted on a sandy loam soil in 1994 and a silt loam in 1995. Sandy loam soils typically have higher infiltration capabilities than clays, and in our studies, we were ...
